With less than a month to go until this year’s Virgin Money London Marathon, Pochin’s is proud to be supporting Jane Nicholson, who will be completing the 26.2 mile course on behalf of homeless charity DEPAUL.
With an estimated 4,000 people sleeping rough in the UK in 2016, DEPAUL’s goal is to empower people who face homelessness, improving their quality of life and helping them stay off the streets for good. Working mostly with young people, DEPAUL’s activity ranges from providing safe shelter, accommodation, food and health services, to helping people affected by homelessness receive the education, employment and social services they need.
Jane commented: “I’m thrilled to have been given the opportunity to run the London Marathon in aid of DEPAUL. Please take a minute to look at their website to see some of the projects across the country that aim to fulfil DEPAUL’s vision. A vision of a society in which everyone has a place to call home and a stake in their community. I’m training really hard, committed to raising the money that may give somebody the chance to turn their life around. Please consider helping me reach my target of £2,000.”
