Design and Build contract for the construction of three number five bedroom detached houses and new private road / driveways.

The Client bought the existing Wilkinson House site and demolished the outbuildings to leave a clear site to enable construction to begin.The houses will be constructed utilising structural timber frame, beam and block flooring, outer skin of facing brick with Marley Eternit Thrutone Fibre cement slate for the roof.

Wilkinson House itself will be refurbished to create a luxury seven-bedroom dwelling.


Project Toucan

Project Toucan - Reaseheath College, Nantwich

The project involves the design and construction of 200 bed student accommodation within 25 separate dwellings/units over 5 blocks. Each unit provides six, eight and 10-bedroom new-build townhouses on the campus.

Each of the two and three-storey townhouses will feature communical and dining areas, a kitchen and shared bathroom facilities to promote shared living among students aged 16 and over. The project is programmed to take 62 weeks (and started on site on the 2nd October)

As with the other projects (Osprey and Redkite) this will be delivered to BIM Level 2.


Cavendish Place

Cavendish Place - Bowdon

 

The scheme consists of 17Nr Luxury Apartments in two blocks along with the associated external works and drainage.

The Client is DeTrafford Estates who we are currently working with on the Ellesmere Street Project and Sky Gardens Project and just recently started a further project in Manchester (City Gardens).

This is a Steel frame construction with concrete floors and a timber roof structure that will be constructed over a 70 week period. Specialist works include facade retention, under pinning and party wall works.


Belong Care Village

Belong Care Village - Newcastle Under Lyme

Design and Build accommodation for elderly persons, consisting of a 74 bed care home with 28 apartments and ancillary facilities (including a bistro, communal spaces, storage and staff facilities, gardens, landscaping and parking) together with a refurbishment of the building formerly known as Maxims for offices, hair salon, café, bar and heritage rooms all as described in the Employer’s Requirements and Contractor’s Proposals documentation.


Travelodge

Travelodge - Manchester

This six-storey hotel utilises steel podiums to carry six, four and two-storey structures. As well as large accommodation floorplates, the build included the delivery of a ground floor bar and restaurant with kitchen and reception area. The first construction activities included CFA piling, followed by pile cap foundations. CFA piles were chosen for an auger drilled pile filled with reinforced concrete to result in minimal noise and vibration disruption.


HMRC

HMRC - Liverpool

Working with Glenbrook Property, Pochin’s was asked to convert the former HMRC Offices at Queens Dock into a 240-room private residential development. Covering 300,000 sq ft, the project on Liverpool’s iconic waterfront required the maintenance of the existing frame as well as the delivery of associated external works and drainage.
