O&M Control Building

O&M Control Building - Mostyn

Pochin’s designed and constructed this wind farm control facility over 3,000 sq ft to cater for up to 130 people. Comprising a ground floor containing warehouse spaces, technicians’ welfare spaces and staging areas, the project also offered office space for the management of the wind farm.

The building utilised vibro-compacted foundations, raft concrete ground floor slab and a structural steel frame with composite cladding panels. The scheme also included an office fit-out with associated M&E service installations.


TATA

TATA - Northwich

This new office development is a two-storey building and covers over 17,000 sq ft of floor area, offering a modern, comfortable, working environment for approximately 100 TATA employees.

The building façades are a combination of render, cladding, windows and some glazed block-work in TATA’s corporate colours. It included a high amount of sustainable building design to achieved a BREEAM rating of ‘Good’. The building has a rainwater harvesting tank installed below ground which collects roof water and recycles it for use in the toilets and an external bib tap. All remaining surface water is attenuated and naturally drained using an ‘Adpave’ draining system with soak-a-ways.


Stublach - Storengy

Stublach - Storengy - Northwich

Supporting the underground gas storage facility at Stublach, this administration building had to ensure continuous operation at full load under any given climate and environmental conditions. Pochin’s involvement provided facilities for the design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning aspects of the storage project.


Welsh Assembly Government

Welsh Assembly Government - Llandudno

£20m

The Welsh Assembly Government’s £20million head office in Llandudno Junction provides approximately 95,000 sq ft of office space, accommodating up to 650 staff. The low carbon building opened in 2010 and saved the occupants in excess of £5million in construction costs after a re-procurement exercise.


Walker House

Walker House - Liverpool

This design has restored and refurbished the MoD’s Walker House to create 210,000 sq ft of Grade A office space with associated high quality reception and common areas, plus approximately 20,000 sq ft of retail and leisure space. Pochin’s developed the interior fit-out for the project to secure a prestigious National British Council Award.


Visage Office

Visage Office - Manchester

£11.5m

Awarded BREEAM ‘Very Good’, Visage’s four-storey office construction required additional external services, highways, and both under and overground car parks. The first and second floors were completed to Category B (fully fitted out) and the third and fourth floors to Category A. The building was designed to require minimal maintenance and be vandal-resistant where possible.
