Pochin’s is celebrating the fruits of a successful 2016/17 after being named the North West’s top contractor at The Grafters Awards, held at the Mercure Piccadilly Manchester Hotel last night (18th May).
The award win is the company’s third in just two months having been crowned ‘SME of the Year’ at the North West Business Masters Awards not long after its HQ project for Moneypenny was named the North’s ‘Corporate Workplace of the Year’ by the British Council of Offices.
The win reflects on an outstanding 12 months for the Middlewich-based business which has gone from strength to strength following its take-private three years ago. Other major contracts in 2016/17 included work for the likes of Wincaton/BAE Systems, Scottish Power Energy Networks, Home Bargains and De Trafford Estates Group.
CEO Jim Nicholson commented: “We’re extremely proud of where we’ve taken Pochin’s in the last three years. Our dedication and values as a business have only strengthened in that time and we continue to create and deliver great projects as a true family business. Everyone at Pochin’s had their part to play in these successes and long may they continue to do so as we look to support clients both old and new.”
